Early on Monday morning, the Archbishop of Malta, Mons Paul Cremona arrived in Melbourne Australia.

In the evening, he celebrated mass together with other Maltese priests in the chapel dedicated to St Paul.  The mass was also animated by a group of Maltese youths who travelled from Malta with the Archbishop to participate in the World Youth Day to be celebrated next week.

Later, the Archbishop had the opportunity to meet some 370 members of the Maltese community during a reception party held at Parkville.
