The French Ambassador for Malta Mr Jean-Marc Rives will be making an official visit to the Għarb Local Council on Saturday. The Ambassador will be visiting the Għarb Local Council premises where he will meet Għarb Mayor David Apap together with the Council Members.

The Ambassador will be donating a tree to Gharb which he will be later planting in the vicinity of the San Dimitri Chapel. Other trees will be planted by the Mayor of Għarb, Minister for Gozo and the artist himself on behalf of the French Mayor of La Gaude.

At 1900 CET, the Ambassador will be making the official inauguration of Rebirth of a Fund Raising Art Exhibition by Raphael Labro at the Sinclair Stevenson Gallery, 59, Trux Street, Għarb.

The Exhibition will be open from Monday to Saturday from 1100 CET to 1230 CET and from 1800 to 2000 CET. On Sundays, it will be open from 1800 to 2000 CET.  For further private viewing and information visit the website or call the gallery or Labro Studio on 9985 5103.

Sales from the exhibition will help to raise funds for The Friends of the Sick and the Elderly in Gozo as well as Tree 4 Gharb projects.

Raphael Labro studied Fine Arts in Nice and has exhibited in prestigious venues around the world. Residing in Gharb since 2003, Labro has been fascinated by the Maltese Goddesses.  Labro’s paintings are celebration of colours where the Mother Goddess returns to us like a messenger of the past.
