A half-day closure seminar is being organised by Razzett tal-Hbiberija (Park of Friendship) on Friday 1st February to publicly share work and experience from the 'Inclusive ICT Training and Development Programme' that has been running at Razzett since December 2006.

Ms Caroline Gray, director of Aiding Communication in Education centre (ACE), together with Mr Richard Alcroft, assistive technology tutor (Aspire), will be presenting their views both as service providers and as service users, drawing on experience in similar programmes offered in the UK.

Having created a specialised laboratory for assistive technology, Razzett has successfully been training persons with various disabilities on the use of assistive hardware and state of the art software. Assistive technology helps disabled persons gain access to the worldwide web with immense communication, professional and educational subsequent benefits. The 'Inclusive ICT Training and Development Programme' thus helps to enhance the employability of persons with disabilities in Malta whilst contributing to their overall independence and improved quality of life.

The seminar will be held at the Portomaso Suite at the Hilton Hotel, St Julians on Friday 1st February, from 8:30am–13:00pm.

The seminar is open to the general public and entrance is free.

For booking and information one can contact Ms Graziella Camilleri on 21636526 or via email at computerlab@razzett.org
