The National Museum of Archaeology is displaying a terracotta figurine depicting two embracing figures on the occasion of Valentine’s day.  The prehistoric figurine dates back to around 3200B.C.

Besides being the only Maltese prehistoric presentation of an embracing couple, the figurine carries some fine sculptural details with incisions representing long hair on both figures.

The embracing prehistoric figurine is being exhibited at the lobby of the National Museum of Archeology in Republic Street Valletta which is open to the public from Monday to Sunday between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. and admission for this display is free of charge.
