The Maltese tennis team made up of Matthew Axiaq, Clayton Zammit, Omar Sudzuka and Elaine Genovese, is presently taking part in the Second Al Fatah Junior Tournament being held in Tripoli, Libya.  The young Maltese tennis players have left a good impression in the initial stages of the tournament, which has now reached its semifinal stages.

In the Boys’ Singles, Matthew Axiaq beat his Syrian opponent Bruno Abdelnour in the semi-finals of the Second Al Fatah Junior Tournament and is the great favourite to win the Singles title.

Elaine Genovese was the favourite for the Girls’ Singles, but due to an ankle injury had to withdraw from the tournament.
