educative martial art course will be screened on local Television. “Jien qed
nitghallem l-Aikido” is a series of eight half an hour lessons that demonstrate
the classical martial of Aikido from basics to complicated defences from
multiple attacks.
Aikido is a Japanese martial art that
encompasses mainly self defence, meditation and weaponry study.
It gives the
practitioner varies benefits such as fitness, non aggressive self defence, awareness,
inner strength development, ability to remain calm and think clearly during
times of stress, increased self esteem and mind and body coordination.
Aikido
is ideal for females as it does not rely on strength or aggression. Children
can also benefit as they learn to control violence without being violent
themselves.
The course will cover several technical
contents such as fitness, safe break falls and rolling, locks, throws, and
pins. Advanced techniques include multiple attacks, defence from attacks by
weapons and more. Interviews of local and foreign students about their Aikido
practice and experience are included.
Related subjects like Holistic Nutrition
and Human Anatomy explained by professional personnel are also included.
A special feature has been dedicated to
