For the fourth consecutive year the MRFU, with the support of Sundreams Travel Limited, will be organising the Malta Rugby International Clubs Tournament starting on Saturday 5^th May.

 

The competition is always a popular fixture in the rugby touring calendar, and this year is no exception. Four teams, the SEC Llanrumney RFC from Wales, the British Police RFC from UK, the Tottonians RFC from England and the Tripoli Barbarians from Libya will all make the journey to Malta to take part in the competition.

 

Two teams in the form of Kavallieri Blue Label RFC and the Spartans RFC will represent local rugby, as the six teams do battle over the weekend at the Marsa Rugby Grounds.

Several stands, including food, drinks and Malta Rugby Merchandise will be set up on the day.

 

All the rugby games begin at 13:30 and continue until 19:00 on both Saturday and Sunday.

 

The public are cordially invited to come down to Marsa and watch some fantastic rugby.

There are sure to be some fierce plays as the teams battle for the coveted shield and plate of the tournament.

 

Following the close of the competition on Sunday there will be a presentation night starting at 21:00 at The Alley in Paceville.
