Senglea won their 19th title in this year’s traditional regatta races held on 8th September, Victory Day.

Senglea won the shield with 88 points, winning all five Category A races, followed by Birzebbuga with 84 points.  Their victory was celebrated by hundreds of supporters who crowded the  Senglea Point with draped orange and red flags over the bastions.   Education and Sport Minister Dolores Cristina presented the shield to the winners.

Seven clubs consisting of Cospicua, Vittoriosa, Kalkara, Marsamxett Valletta, Marsa, Senglea and Birzebbuga participated in this year’s regatta. The Regatta is organised twice a year in the Grand Harbour by the National Festivities Committee.
