On Saturday mornings two mixed groups between the ages of 11 and 13 gather at the Cottonera Sports Complex and the University Sports Complex respectively to explore and experience different sports disciplines and their fundamentals. The Adventure/Multisport sessions are held every Saturday morning as part of the Skolasport programme.

From the most energetic and extrovert to the most quiet and reserved, participants delve wholeheartedly into these intriguing sports sessions. The sessions, conducted indoors, practice specific sports like baseball, rugby, football, volleyball, tennis and basketball. On the last Saturday of each month the groups meet outdoors for further adventure such as cycling, abseiling, go-carting, climbing, horse riding and much more.

Instructors Melissa Borg at Cottonera and Nadia Gosney at the University Sports Complex coach their respective groups with a routinely warm-up and stretching exercises, with the introduction to rules and fundamentals of a specific discipline pursued by game time.

Sport as an essential in life provides mental relief and physical fitness amongst the young and young at heart. This is one of the prime objectives for which Skolasport organised by the Kunsill Malti ghall-iSport is sponsored by Kellogg’s.
