MBA Player of the Year awards announced

The Malta Basketball Association Player of the Year Awards for season 2007/2008 were announced during a recent activity held to celebrate the gold medal won by the Women National Team in Luxembourg during the FIBA Europe Promotion cup.

This year the awards were presented during this ceremony which was held in the presence of Hon. Clyde Puli Parliamentary Secretary for Sports and top MBA officials and club delegates. Hon. Puli presented the trophies to the winners. Miles Express was the official sponsor of this year’s awards.

The winners for all categories are as follows:
Senior Men – Dirk Schembri – Bupa Luxol
Senior Women – Kirsten Micallef – Hubs Medsea
2nd Division – Clayton Agius – SN Suns Bell-Med
Young Men – Jean Paul Bonnici – Siggiewi
Young Women – Sarah Pace – Depiro
Junior Men – Tom Paris – Luxol
Junior Women – Steffi De Martino Luxol
