The Department of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence within the University of Malta is organizing the Computer Science Annual Research Workshop which is now in its fifth year.

The workshop will be held on the 5th and 6th of November at Villa Bighi in Kalkara.

The aim of this workshop is that students and lecturers at the University of Malta together with representatives of local industries, present research activities which they are currently working on.  The activity also aims to strengthen relations between the department and the industry and to give students a chance to think about their final year projects.

The special guest at this year’s workshop is Dr Satnam Singh from Microsoft Research in Cambridge, UK. Dr Singh will be speaking about research not usually associated with Microsoft.

Those interested in attending the workshop can register here. Registration is free.

Sponsors of the event are CCBill EU, the Ministry for Investment, Industry and Technology, IXARIS, Ascent Software, Computer Society of Malta, the Science and Technology Council and Bank of Valletta.
