SmartCity Malta applies for Phase one permit

Following SmartCity Malta’s submission of the Outline Planning Application to the Malta Environmental Planning Authority (MEPA), SmartCity Malta has also recently submitted the Detailed Planning Application for Phase One. SmartCity Malta Phase One will provide over 12,000 sqm of high quality office space primarily for ICT and media companies.

750 Maltese pledge to be part of world downloading record

Over 750 Maltese people have pledged to download Firefox 3, the new version of the popular web server, in a bid to break a world downloading record on Tuesday.

They are today joining forces with over a million and a half people all around the world in an attempt to break the world record for Most Software Downloaded in 24 Hours, an initiative of the giant software company Mozilla, to be recorded in the Guiness Book of Records.

Phase One of SmartCity project launched

The Phase One of the SmartCity Project which will redevelop part of the Ricasoli industrial area into a massive ICT campus was launched on Saturday evening.

The PrimeMinister Dr Lawrence Gonzi announced that the first day of business for SmartCity Malta has now been set. He expressed the Government’s satisfaction to participate at this announcement that confirms that the implementation of SmartCity is moving according to its own ambitious time-frames.
