A Malta-registered 90-metre cargo vessel was stranded until the arrival of a high tide at Perth harbour on the River Tay in Scotland earlier this week on Monday.

The vessel, Baltiyskiy-201, hit a sandbank as it entered the harbour and remained stranded until a high tide allowed it to float off again.

Initial inspections have shown no sign of damage and the vessel was able to resume offloading her cargo of timber, according to the United Kingdom’s Shipping Times.

The Baltiyskiy-201 is operated by INOK NV of Belgium.
