Emirates Holidays offers a World of Choice

Air Malta official carrier for CEPIC 2008 Congress

Air Malta has been appointed as the official carrier of CEPIC - the Coordination of European Picture Agencies Press Stock Heritage.

CEPIC will be holding its 14th Annual Congress, here in Malta between the 6th and the 10th of June. More than 1,000 delegates are expected to travel on Air Malta services to and from Malta in order to attend for the CEPIC 2008 Congress.

Passengers increase by 6.2% in April at MIA

During the month of April, Malta International Airport has once again registered an increase of 6.2% in passenger movements on the scheduled and non-scheduled flights.  
 
The total passenger movements in April 2008 increased by 14,621 for a total of 251,548 movements as opposed to the April 2007 figure of 236,927.

Malta to shift to alternative means of transport

In his address to the annual meeting of the Association of European Vehicle and Driver Registration Authorities, new transport minister Dr Austin Gatt, said that it is high time that Malta looked at alternative means of transport and that Malta’s general dependency on cars is not to be attributed to any cultural inclinations.

The minister stated that “the quality of the air we breathe cannot be the price for the quality of our trip to work and back."

Success for the AMITEX 2008 travel fair

The 15th edition of Air Malta’s International Travel Exhibition (AMITEX) 2008 which was held during the last weekend of April at the Malta Fairs and Conventions Centre in Ta’ Qali, attracted over 15,000 visitors.

The travel fair saw the participation of several local and foreign exhibitors who over the four days of the fair presented travel opportunities for next summer to the Maltese public.
