Maltese born Gattaldo has lived in various European cities. He studied Fine Arts in Florence and then went to Milan to work in advertising. He has also worked as a senior art director for an award-winning healthcare advertising agency in the UK. In 2001 he designed the official Maltapost Christmas stamps. He now lives in the UK and works mainly on freelance projects.
