BABY JESUS AND STAR
Many Maltese houses decorate their main window with a figurine of the baby Jesus and a Christmas star for the festive season. These decorations not only make the streets look wonderful at Christmas time, but they also offer a way for the Maltese people to share the Christmas spirit with their neighbours and others passing by.

L-GHAGEB TAL-PRESEPJU
A Christmas character which appears in Maltese idiomatic speech is L-Ghageb (The Wonderer); a term used endearingly for anyone who just sits or stands there as life goes on. L-Ghageb is seen here in a typical scene from a presepju next to a shepherd and his flock.
