Strong winds are blowing over the Maltese Islands. The south-westerly winds, at Force 7, at times escalating to Force 8, have led to minor accidents such as aerials being blown over. Fortunately no casualties were reported. In turn due to the bad weather, the Gozo Channel service between Malta and Gozo was not operating for various hours.

Maltaweather.com said that the winds will last until 0000CET. Overnight the winds are expected to decrease to Force 6. Temperatures are 17 degrees Celsius at their highest and 10 degrees Celsius at their lowest. There is a possibility that rain showers will occur later in the day.
