4 to be arraigned over credit card fraud

Four Romanians are expected to be arraigned in court on Thursday over credit card fraud. The persons were arrested on Wednesday after the Police Squad Against Economic Riots have seized fraud equipment attached to local Bank ATMs used to copy personal information. The equipment seized used to record the information contained in credit cards. The police said that there was also a digital camera to record pin numbers.

The Police confirmed that the equipment is being examined.

The four persons, a 22-year-old woman and three men were caught by the police in Malta International Airport while leaving on a flight to Rome. The Police found the persons possessing Lm4, 000.

The Squad Against Economic Riots is leading the investigations.
