As from today 01 June 2006, fuel prices are once again slightly up. The last revision of fuel prices was one month ago on 2nd May.

Prices have gone up by 3 mils per litre for both unleaded petrol and Lead Replacement Petrol (LRP) that as from today will sell at 49c7 and 52c7 per litre respectively. On the other hand, the price of diesel has gone up by 5 mils per litre and is now selling at 44c1.

Kerosene has gone up by 1c1 per litre from 43c6 to 44c7. The price of light heating oil remained 24c5 per litre. On the other hand, the price of thin fuel oil 200 degrees, 450 degrees and 950 degrees, all increased by Lm1 per ton.

The revision of the fuel prices was based on the price of consignments of fuels made to Enemalta, the Malta Resources Authority said.

This fluctuation in the prices is mainly attributed on the changes in the price of oil on the international market.
