Unleaded petrol and Lead Replacement Petrol (LRP) prices decreased slightly for the month of August, while the price of diesel went up. The price changes take effect as from Tuesday. Unleaded petrol and LRP prices decreased by 1 mil (0.1c) to Lm 0.49c5 and Lm 0.52c5 respectively. In turn the price of diesel increased by 4 mils (0.4c) from Lm 0.43c6 to Lm 0.44c0.
Light heating oil prices remained unchanged at Lm0.27c1, while the price of petroleum increased by 3 mils (0.3c) from Lm0.43c3 to Lm0.43c6.
In the case of petrol the change in price includes a reduction in transitory tax, introduced in order to make up for the introduction of fuel surcharge on electricity.
The price of 200 degrees Thin Fuel Oil and 450 degrees Thin Fuel Oil increased by Lm2.00c per ton from Lm152.00c to Lm156.00c and by Lm3.00c from Lm148.00c to Lm151.00c respectively. The price of 950 degrees Thin Fuel Oil per ton also increased from Lm141.00c to Lm144.00c.
