A weekend camp organized by the Qawra Scout Group at the Birzebbugia Scouts Headquarters integrated ten other young people from Dar Merhba Bik and St Patrick’s Salesian School, thanks to the HSBC Cares For Children Fund (HCCF).

The newcomers to the group integrated well with the scout members and joined in the three days of learning and fun. The camp included a night hike, a flag break, a Halloween fancy costume party, a treasure hunt, a walk on the beach, and a sand castle competition.

“One of the HCCF’s aims is to give disadvantaged young people the opportunity to gain extra curricular experiences. This camp has proved to be a success in that it provided such an opportunity, where young people from different backgrounds got together and learned from each other,” said Chairperson of the HSBC Cares For Children Fund, Catherine Gonzi.
