Prof Arnold Cassola, Maltese member of the Italian parliament, will be giving his maiden speech in the Italian parliament on Tuesday morning in the debate on the political programme proposed by the Prodi Government.

Amongst other issues, Cassola will be mentioning the scandalous practice concerning RAI TV, whereby football matches normally shown in Italy on RAI TV are systematically blackened out in other European countries, including Malta.

Cassola will be asking the Prodi government to give residents in Europe the possibility to be able to watch the next football World Cup matches freely on RAI TV in less than three weeks time.

Prof. Cassola will also focus on a number of issues which concern Italians living abroad mainly in Europe.
