Parliamentary Secretary Tonio Fenech said that the pension’s reform will come into effect next January.

In fact, Maltaright Now reported, the government is discussing the law amendments within the reform before adjourning for summer.

Fenech said that while the Malta Labour Party is saying that there is no need for such a reform, the European Commission has praised the government and said that the reform is sustainable and adequate.
