Ambassador Walter Balzan recently presented his credentials as Malta’s Permanent Representative for the international Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO).

During a ceremony at the organisation’s general headquarters, FAO Director General Jacques Diouf, who was accompanied by the Head of his Secretariat as well as the Head of the Organisation’s Protocol, expressed his appreciation for Malta’s active participation and effective contribution towards the organisation.

On the other hand, Ambassador Balzan emphasized Malta’s conviction of the importance of multilateralism and the island’s effort in strengthening its relations with the FAO.
