Police were informed about a theft which occurred this morning at around 1030 CET in Triq Lorenzo Gafa`, Żebbuġ.
Preliminary investigations show that three masked and armed men held up an employee and stole his briefcase which contained some money and cheques. The men fled the scene with a getaway car, which was found a bit later on, along with the cheques.
No one was injured in the incident.
Duty Magistrate Dr. Silvio Meli was informed about the case and appointed various experts to assist him in the inquiry.
Police investigations are underway.
