Irregular immigrant dies in tragic journey

Nine irregular immigrants were brought on Maltese shores with the help of a foreign vessel. The irregular immigrants entered the Malta Freeport early on Saturday morning.

The vessel helped the nine irregular immigrants aboard the ship. In turn, a corpse of an irregular immigrant was recovered at sea. It is believed that other illegal immigrants could have lost their lives during the journey however patrol boat searches by the Armed Forces of Malta in the area resulted as fruitless.

The immigrants who were traveling on a boat experienced difficulties. The man had lost his life before the vessel rescued the irregular immigrants. All the immigrants rescued and the one who died are men.

The Police are investigating.
