Pick-up driver injured after falling into valley

A man was injured following a traffic accident when he fell off the street with his pick-up van into a valley at a height of around two storeys. The passenger who was in the pick-up van at the time of the accident did not suffer any injuries.

The accident occurred at around 0830CET at Mistra Valley, limits of Xemxija.

Members of the Civil Protection Department went on site and helped the man out of the van and to tow it from the valley.

The man was rushed to St. Luke's Hospital.

Further investigations are being conducted.
