Young driver in danger of dying

A 28-year-old man is in danger of dying after he was involved in a traffic accident. Preliminary investigations revealed that the man from Swieqi was driving his car, a Toyota and for some reason lost control of the vehicle.

The accident occcured on Wednesday at around 20:45CET in Triq Ghajn Tuffieha, St. Paul’s Bay limits of Xemxija.

The man crashed into a wall and also hit another car driven by a 45-year-old man from Imgarr who was coming from the opposite direction.

The man was taken by ambulance to St Luke’s Hospital where he was certified to be in danger of losing his life.

Duty Magistrate Dr Michael Mallia was informed of the case and appointed several experts to help in the inquiry. Police investigations are under way.
