A group of 28 illegal immigrants landed at Haywharf in Marsa early on Saturday morning after they found themselves in difficulty in Maltese waters.
The group, whose whereabouts is as yet unknown, consists of 19 men, five women and four children.
The police are investigating.
Meanwhile, on Friday morning, a group of 16 illegal immigrants were brought ashore after their boat sunk in the channel between Malta and Sicily. Three illegal immigrants died in this incident and eight are feared dead.
