More illegal immigrants are expected to reach the Maltese Islands as the Armed Forces of Malta (AFM) have announced that they are involved in two operations involving two separate boats with illegal immigrants on board.

The AFM said on Wednesday evening one of its Protector Class vessel was proceeding South East towards one boat, whilst a Swift Class Patrol craft was monitoring a second boat.

The latest arrival of illegal immigrants was registered on Tuesday evening with the landing of 27 at Marsaxlokk.
