Another 28 illegal immigrants reach Malta

Another group of 28 illegal immigrants reached the Maltese islands on Thursday. The group landed in Wied il-Għajn in an area known as Siberia at around 1930CEST.

Among the illegal immigrants were 17 men, 9 women and two children. Earlier during the day another group of 28 illegal immigrants reached Xwejni, near Żebbuġ in Gozo.

Police investigations are ongoing.

So far, 1,278 illegal immigrants have reached Maltese land this year.
