A 16-year-old girl from Marsaxlokk is on danger list. The youngster was found unconscious outside an establishment in Paceville in the early hours of Monday morning. She was rushed to St. Luke’s Hospital by ambulance, where she was certified to be in danger losing her life.
A Police report did not establish the reason behind the girl’s hospitalization. However, later during the day reports said that the Police were not excluding the possibility that the girl suffered a drug overdose.
Duty Magistrate Dr. Jacquline Padovani Grima ordered an inquiry and appointed avrious experts to assist her.
Police investigations continue.
Last month a 17-year-old girl was also found unconscious in Paceville, lying on a flight of steps of a block of apartments. The Russian national, who was holidaying in Malta, died briefly after being hospitalized. An autopsy established that the girl died after taking a drug overdose.
In turn, two men and a woman were arrested in an establishment in Paceville on Sunday after being caught with an undisclosed amount of ecstasy pills.
The three persons from Qormi, Mosta and Gozo, are aged between 21 and 49.
They are being detained by Police for further investigations.
