A woman died during an illegal immigrants' journey. She was one of eight women who were brought over to Malta at Haywharf by the Armed Forces of Malta (AFM) on Saturday at round 0845 CET.
The group also consisted of 28 men.
The police are still investigating and interrogating the illegal immigrants.
Meanwhile on Friday evening, another boatload of illegal immigrants was brought ashore by the AFM.
The group consisted of 18 men and a woman.
