The Maltese court has decided that there is not enough proof to charge Eddie Goggins with involuntary murder. Pilot Eddie Goggins was involved in an aircraft collision during the Aero GP held in Marsamxett on Sunday. The accident left Swedish pilot Gabor Varga dead, after the tail of his Yak-55 aerobatic airplane was ripped off from the rest of the vehicle.

The court decided that Eddie Goggins should not longer be kept under arrest.

Eddie Goggins, an Irishman, managed to spare himself from death after maneuvering his plane upwards as the two aircraft smashed into one another. He was arrested on Monday under suspicion of having caused the involuntary death of 45-year-old Gabor Varga.

However an inquiry led by Magistrate Joseph Apap Bologna revealed that there is not enough proof to initiate legal procedures against Eddie Goggins for involuntary murder.
