Bulgarian man fatally electrocuted at Dockyard

A Bulgarian man was fatally electrocuted at the Dockyard in Cospicua on Friday morning. The incident took place at around 0830CEST while the man was carrying out welding works on the ship Caterina Del Mar.

At the time of the incident the man was standing on scaffolding.

Police as well as officials from the Occupational Health and Safety Association (OHSA) were called on loaction to investigate the case.

Duty Magistrate Dennis Montebello appointed various experts to assist in an inquiry.

Police investigations continue.
