Two workers injured on construction site

On Saturday morning at around 10:15CET the Police was informed that an incident had occurred on a construction site in Triq it-Tamar, Qawra. Preliminary investigations revealed that a mass of iron used for construction had fallen and consequently injured the two workers.

The injured persons, a 21-year-old Gozitan and a 16-year-old from Qormi suffered serious leg injuries but are not in danger of dying.

Members from the Civil Protection department managed to lift the two injured workers who were rushed to St Luke’s Hospital by ambulance.

The Police are investigating.
