A 31-year-old Moroccan man holding a Dutch nationality was extradited to Malta from Holland upon request by the Maltese Police. The man is expected to be arraigned in Court over drug trafficking in the next few days.

A European Arrest Warrant had been issued by the local police last Summer. The man was held by the police upon his entrance at the Malta International Airport from Amsterdam.

The police allegedly have enough evidence that he forms part of a wider circle of drug dealers trafficking cocaine and cannabis to Malta.
