Malta ranks fourth in world internet usage rating

Malta is the fourth country in the world to have the most internet users according to an International Telecommunication Union world rating. According to the rating, quoted by UzReport , between 68 to 75 of every 100 people are internet users.

The rating assessed internet users in 198 countries, taking into account only constant registered users going online not less than once a week. The rating found that insular and peninsular countries are the leaders are more likely to have higher numbers of users.

New Zealand placed first with the ratio of registered users of 79.3 per 100 people is the first. Iceland came in second with 76.03per 100, followed by Sweden, Malta and Faroe Islands who each have between 68 to 75 internet users per 100 persons.

According to the International Telecommunication Union, every 100 people in the world account on the average for 18.4 users of the world wide web.
