Three computer shops robbed

Three computer shops were robbed during the night between Tuesday and Wednesday. The shops located in Msida and Blata l-Bajda were all forced into during the night and robbed of various computer-related materials such as software and other technological devices including plasma screens and digital cameras.

Two of the targeted shops are both located in Msida. AtoZ Computers in Tower Road was robbed of at least Lm7,000 in plasma screens and other computer related technologies. This is the second time the shop was robbed in the past three weeks. Eye-Land Computers, facing the Marina was also targeted. The robbers made away with computer software.

The third targeted establishment is located in Blata l-Bajda. Merlin Computers was robbed of various technological products including laptops and digital cameras.

It is unknown whether the three robberies are linked to one another.

Duty Magistrate Antonio Mizzi ordered an inquiry and appointed various experts to assist him.

Police investigations are ongoing.
