Police retrieve four stolen vehicles

Four of the five vehicles stolen from a second-hand car showroom in Qormi on the night between Wednesday and Thursday have been retrieved by the police.

Three cars were found in Qormi and another in Attard, the police said in a press release.

The police are still on the look out for the fifth vehicle. However a suspect is being investigated in connection with this case.

Meanwhile, the police said that a number of thefts that occurred in Qawra, Luqa and other localities have been solved. A number of persons are expected to be arraigned in court over the coming days.

Another two persons have already been arraigned in court and accused of drug trafficking following raids in Zabbar, Xgħajra and Hamrun which yielded heroin, cannabis and cocaine finds.

The police are also expected to arraign a number of persons for money counterfeiting in the Florianan area as well as in connection with the theft and falsification of a cheque book.
