Youth charged with defiling 16-year-old girl

18-year-old foreign youth was charged in court with defiling a 16-year-old Maltese girl. The case occurred between the 4th and 5th February in Burmarrad. The court did not grant the accused bail and was sent to Corradino Correctional Facility.

The youth whose name and nationality cannot be published according to court order was accused of raping the girl against her own will. He pleaded not guilty to the accusations brought against him.

Lawyer Tonio Azzopardi appeared for the accused, while the prosecution was led by Police Inspector Raymond Aquilina.
