Algerian detainee escapes from prison

An Algerian detainee at Kordin Corrective Facility fled the prison on Sunday afternoon. 26-year-old Mohammed M.S. Galul escaped from the prison at around 1530CET. The man was waiting to be tried in court over drug possession and trafficking. A police report said that the Algerian man has at times made use of the name Blgacem Merabet instead of his own.

Mohammed M.S. Galul is around 1.75 meters tall. His hair is black, short and curly. He is of a dark complexion and his eyes are light brown.

The Police are also calling on anyone who may be informed of the whereabouts of Mohammed M.S. Galul to contact police on telephone numbers 21221111 or 21224001.
