A 24-year-old woman is in danger of losing her life after part of a roof collapsed on her in Xagħra, Gozo on Friday evening. The young woman was trapped under the debris, thus the Civil Protection Department and a team of medics from the Gozo General Hospital were called on site to give first assistance.

The young woman was taken to hospital and was certified to be suffering from grievous injuries and in danger of dying. Police investigations are underway.

Two men were seriously injured after falling from a height of around one and a half storeys in Naxxar Road, San Ġwann.
