132 illegal immigrants were deported to their home country Egypt in the past days, The Times reported. They had arrived in Malta on February 5, along with other 53 migrants who are expected to be sent back to their home country in the coming days.

The first group consisting in 72 illegal immigrants left Malta last Satuday, while another group of 62 illegal immigrants departed on Monday.

The group of 185 illegal immigrants had been rescued by the Armed Forces of Malta after the 50-foot boat that was believed to have left from Libya started to drift around 19 nautical miles to the south-west of Malta.

Amongst the illegal immigrants, there were four women, one of whom was expecting a child. Apart from Egyptians, there were also Moroccans aboard the fishing vessel.
