A number of illegal immigrants escaped from Ta' Kandja Detention Centre during Thursday night. Two of the fugitives were captured by authorities soon after the escape, however, a further three are still reported as missing.
Searches for the three escapees by the police and the Armed Forces of Malta are currently underway.
The runaway illegal immigrants were noticed to have gone missing when members of the Armed Forces of Malta were carrying out routine checks in the detention centre.
