Seven cars belonging to Jesuit monks were set on fire at the parking area of St Aloysius College in Birkirkara on Thursday night. As a consequence, all the cars were destroyed. The police and members of the Civil Protection Department were called on site to extinguish the fire.

The cause of the fire is not yet known, however, it is being reported that this was probably an arson attack. No one was injured in this incident.

The Jesuit community has already been the target of such vandal act. Last November, two cars have been destroyed after being set on fire.

The police are still investigating the case, while Magistrate Joseph Apap Bologna appointed various experts to assist him in the inquiry.
