Current Chief Executive Officer at Melita Cable, Prof Juanito Camilleri was appointed as the new rector at the University of Malta. He will replace present rector Roger Ellul-Micallef, whose term ends in June this year.
Prof Camilleri was appointed during a University Council meeting held on Tuesday.
He will assume his responsibility on July 1, 2006.
Prof Camilleri also occupied the post of Chief Executive Officer at Go Mobile.
