Three people attacked and robbed an elderly woman in her home in Valley Road, Qormi at around 1600 CET on Sunday afternoon, said police sources.
Preliminary investigations resulted that the robbers knocked on the front door and when the woman opened for them, they threatened her and forced their way into the house. The thieves made off with an amount of money.
Upon medical examination, the woman was found to be suffering from minor injuries.
Duty Magistrate Dr. Scerri Herrera was informed about the case and an inquiry was opened.
Further investigations are still underway.
