A 41-year-old motor cyclist from Zejtun lost his life in a traffic accident after colliding with a car. The accident occurred on Friday evening at around 19:15CET in Triq l-Isqof Buhagiar, Paola.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim who was riding a Honda motorcycle crashed into a car, a Hyundai driven by a 22-year-old man.
The ambulance arrived immediately at the incident spot. However, the man was certified dead on impact. The Hyundai’s passenger was taken to St Luke’s Hospital for observation.
Duty Magistrate Dr M. Mallia was informed of the case and appointed several experts to assist in the inquiry. The Police are investigating.
