Eurovision fever rose by several degrees on Saturday afternoon during the final dress rehearsal at the OAKA Olympic Arena in Athens. The venue was packed with thousands of Eurovision Song Contest fans, some paying more than 100€ for a seat at the last dress rehearsal before the final show.

For Maltese singer Fabrizio Faniello, this rehearsal came with a last minute decision for a slight wardrobe alteration. Following Friday's negative reactions to his costume, it was decided that he would not wear the waistcoat from previous dress rehearsals.
At the end of his performance during Saturday's dress rehearsal he was greeted with enthusiastic cheers from the Eurovision fans in the arena, even though fewer than 50 Maltese fans were actually at the venue for this rehearsal.
The predomininatly Greek audience went crazy when it was Anna Vissi's (Greece) turn. Other performers who received great cheers from the crowd included Las Ketchup (Spain), Carola (Sweden) Mihai Traistariu (Romania), Tina Karol (Ukraine), Dima Bilan (Russia) and, of course, Lordi (Finland) with their sensationally spectacular pyrotechnics.
During the mock voting session at the dress rehearsal, Moira Delia read the votes from Malta, as she will do again on Saturday evening during the actual event. People in Malta can vote for their favourite song by calling 5004-32XX (landline) or 5061-55XX (SMS); XX should be replaced by the number of the song you want to vote for.
